Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre
The Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre is full of kinetic sculptures and features mechanical structures which perform multi-sensory shows of movement, sound and light.
It was founded by sculptor-mechanic Eduard Bersudsky and theatre director Tatyana Jakovskaya in St Petersburg and moved to Scotland in the 1990s.
The word Sharmanka is Russian for hurdy-gurdy or barrel-organ.
The New Renfrew Bridge
The Renfrew Bridge opened on 9th May 2025
and gives pedestrian and cycle access between
Govan & the Riverside Transport Museum
and the Tall Ship Glenlee
