The Tree of Peace and Unity is actually two lime trees which have grown together for centuries and are now inseparable. The tree became famous as the iconic picture with Prime Minister Tony Blair, Sir John Hume and Lord David Trimble representing the two sides coming together in unity at the signing of the Good Friday Agreement which ended the Troubles in Northern Ireland.
